RICHARD’s CARAMEL BARS

These are Richard's favorite bars. I only make them once a year as they are so rich. Ingredients: Ingredients: 50 caramels unwrapped 2/3 c evaporated milk 3/4 c melted butter 1 c chopped nuts 1 box German chocolate cake mix 6 oz milk chocolate chips Directions: Directions: Grease a 9x13 pan well. Combine caramels and 1/3 of the evaporated milk in saucepan and melt over medium low heat stirring often not to burn. Combine cake mix, butter, nuts, and 1/3c of the evaporated milk. Mix until dough holds together. Press half of this mixture in bottom of 9x13 pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350. Sprinkle chips over baked cake. Spread cooling caramel mixture over that. Crumble remaining cake mix on that. Bake 10-15 min more until set. Cool before cutting
