Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour

  • 1 tsp of ground cinnamon

  • 6 ounces of molasses (about half a jar of Grandma’s Molasses)

  • Cookie frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Use a mixer to gently combine the flour and cinnamon, then slowly pour in the molasses while the mixer is running. (You can add a little more molasses to moisten the dough if you wish.)

  3. The dough will be sticky! Flour a cutting board and rolling pin, then roll out and shape the dough into a large square (about 1/4 inch thick). Cut the dough into small, bite-sized shapes.

  4. Place the cookies on a non-stick baking sheet, and put in the oven for 12 minutes. When done, let them cool and then frost them with cookie frosting.

  5. Let the cookies and icing harden for at least 4 hours before stacking them.
